From a couple of days ago:
Lacks the extension ramp to connect it to the lawn (somewhere above flood level), but the part that needed to be done before the pond fills up is done. Legs are waterproofed up to nominal water level with cheap black roof-repair goo, and from there up to flood level with pricey clear roof-repair goo.
Next time we have a couple of dry days in the forecast, we can have materials for the ramp delivered and set about building the frame, and preparing the decking boards, in the garage. That may be a week out.
Yes, the legs look a bit spindly, but it feels solid, and it's not like it needs to carry vehicle traffic.
You could paint it to look like an aircraft carrier and not give it a ramp... Be different for sure :-)
Maybe Santa needs a place to land?

But if it's an aircraft carrier, doesn't it need a catapult and an arresting wire?
(... Does Santa's sleigh have a tailhook? Do the lead reindeer have reinforced legs for the catapult? This is getting complicated.)

If you don't feel up to a catapult you could call it "art", it would be GREAT "art".
I'm sure someone should have told you sooner but Santa can do ANYTHING! A back yard aircraft carrier on a dry pond is nothing for him, he'll appreciate it I'm sure.
