There's a potential blogpost rattling around in the back of my head these past couple of weeks.
A somewhat curious phrase is involved. I'd heard it in three places, and it's not clear that the meaning was similar in any two of them.
One of those places, I'm quite certain, was a Heather Alexander song. And I'm reasonably confident that it was on a CD, or maybe a cassette, not just at a concert.
I'm not finding it in my MP3 collection, which I thought included all the CDs I have (except, somehow, for Uffington Horse). Maybe I'm just not recognizing the title?
Oh, well. The rest of the post hasn't really taken form yet; there's plenty of time to look up the references.
Update: Aha! 'Twas on The Album of Secrets, which didn't make it into the ripping queue back when. That was an odd release: about the time copy-protected, non-computer-playable CDs were the new thing from the big labels, Heather released a limited-edition album on CD-R... which wouldn't play on my actual CD player, but my computer liked it just fine. I should have two of it around here: the original, and a copy, on a different brand of CD-R, that my CD player did like.
Gotta have another CD-ripping session sometime. Maybe during the winter... along with all the other indoors stuff that I've been planning to do every winter now since 2019.
And, the song is on YouTube. If I get around to writing the post, I'll link to it.
