Got a package, ordered on Amazon, coming by slow boat from China.
Comes a message from Amazon: delivery attempted. C'mon, the package isn't that big; is there something seriously wrong at the local post office today?
Gets more interesting. Amazon's tracking says delivery was attempted in the wee hours of the morning. In Atlanta. Er... hello?
USPS tracking doesn't show delivery attempted. It shows out for delivery. In, again, Atlanta.
They're gonna have a heck of a time trying to deliver it in Atlanta. Did the Chinese shipper mangle the ZIP code or something?
Afterthought: USPS tracking shows pictures of letter-like items, but not magazine/catalog-like items nor parcels.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could see at least the shipping labels of parcels we were expecting?
And: there's something to be said for living on a road with a distinctive name. At least if USPS does try to deliver my parcel in Atlanta, it won't be able to find the address there - unlike, say, Jackson Avenue, whereof I assume there are many.
