It looks like both USPS and UPS are either having difficulty tracking shipments or running supplemental delivery vehicles this week.
Tracking on various things has just not been looking normal. Nothing undelivered so far, and a couple of things have arrived ahead of the originally-promised dates, but... things are just looking strange.
Today, three out of four Amazon packages coming via USPS currently show as "in transit" rather than "out for delivery" - I wonder if they'll arrive on a parcel truck/van, or if I'll just get a "come pick them up" slip in the mailbox. They do show "Expected delivery by 5:15 PM", so... parcels that don't fit in the mailbox maybe coming separately today?
And a non-Amazon shipper says my package is coming today via UPS. UPS had sent me a couple of notifications earlier, but no "out for delivery" message today. Check the UPS site: it's currently in Knoxville, supposed to be delivered this evening - not the usual sometime-in-the-afternoon.
Truly, 'tis a puzzlesome world we live in.
Update: The "in transit" USPS packages now show as arriving tomorrow instead of today (Amazon still thinks they're somehow arriving today). The UPS package just arrived, within the normal time window, with the usual driver.
