Having the windows blunk out like this.
It's like we've entered the Twilight Zone, or an extreme version of a Larry Niven story. Impenetrable fog just outside every window. The outside no longer exists.
The cats are worried, especially Southmoon.
But, getting the house properly painted is important. It'll last longer, for one thing. Also, we're having it painted a color. It's not really a color now; it's sort of a Heisencolor: it's vaguely bluish-gray, except that when I look at it it's kinda tan. The new paint is supposed to be a definite color, presumably the same when you're looking at it as when you aren't.
