Baby artichokes like to be outdoors in spring, soaking up rays.

Alas, baby bunnies like to nibble on baby artichokes.

And, as I learned last year, baby bunnies can squeeze through the mesh of the basic chicken wire I used on the plant protective box.

Guess I should re-do the box using half-inch hardware cloth or similar.
