Well, looks like Joy finally managed to get her files all backed up and Windows reinstalled. Win10, characteristically, doesn't make these things easy; seems the old features that actually worked for disaster prep were removed or well hidden because they were too complicated for users to understand, and the oh-so-simple-and-convenient replacement features don't actually work.
And now....
Something Under The Fridge Is Drooling.
... Yeah, presumably the same thing as a couple of weeks back. Whatever that was. I don't think it's condensation dribbling from some exposed cold spot (though the indoors humidity is nearly 50% now, for the first time in a while). Pretty much has to be the plumbing for the ice maker / water dispenser. But last time, I didn't actually find a leak; just pulled the refrigerator out, looked for a leak, didn't find one, turned off the water supply, mopped up the puddle, changed the water filter (which was significantly overdue for changing), turned the water supply back on, and put everything back.
Gotta poke at it again today, I guess.
Update: Oh, great. Definitely a leak. Not someplace accessible. Leakage seems to be happening somewhere under the front, presumably at the filter socket. Which I don't think can be fixed with the refrigerator standing up on the floor, unless that subassembly can somehow be removed from the front after removing the bottom grille? Maybe?
I suppose if all else fails I can bypass the filter and splice in some sort of in-line filter at the back. Be nice if I had the repair manual for the appliance. So far, though, I haven't even been able to find the freakin' model number.
