Temperature this morning is in the low 20s, chillingly Fahrenheit. There are scattered snowflakes drifting on the wind.
It's not technically Texas leftovers; looks like this came South through Missouri, then East, seriously freezing Nashville along the way.
This does seem to fit a general pattern; the really big weather happens elsewhere, and is pretty well attenuated before it gets to this particular spot. Something to do with distance and mountains, I think. It's one reason I didn't consider a more coastal location (nor a flat one) when first pondering the big move.
