It came to my attention yesterday that the refrigerator's ice maker had ceased to function: the level in the bucket was down to about 2/3, with the remaining ice chunks being mostly frozen together.
Preliminary Internet searching turned up some advice, 90% of which boiled down to "check the water supply" (not the problem), while the other 10% was either uselessly vague or specific to a different style of ice maker. Poking around in the early evening didn't reveal anything enlightening, though afternoon poking had dislodged some ice chunks from the path, and at bedtime there was still no fresh ice in the bucket.
This morning? The bucket was full of ice. Apparently the machinery decided to start working again.
Some day, I really need to find a model number on that refrigerator and chase down a copy of the user manual.
