So there's this ongoing saga of the Biden-related documents that disappeared from a package en route from Fox in NYC to Tucker Carlson in LA via UPS... and then somehow reappeared.
And there was some question as to whether Fox had retained a copy of said documents.
Well... now I hear that the documents were on a flash drive. So of course there's a copy. Ought to be backups of the copy, and backups of the backups.
But, shipping the physical flash drive? Isn't this, like, the 21st Century or something? Don't we have PGP and Dropbox and stuff? PGP to encrypt the contents and authenticate the sender, and Dropbox to put the resulting file where the recipient can retrieve it? Heck, surely Fox has its own server where files may be shared between locations, right?
Yeah, yeah. Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes hurtling down the highway. But how many gigabytes are we talking, here?
Was there any point to shipping the flash drive, besides drama?
