Winter is icumen in, and all that. We're having some fine, clear, sunny, cool days. Getting into frosty-mornings season, even.
Which... well, there's stuff that needs doing out in the barn, and the barn remains un-electrified. So if I want light to work by, I pretty much need sunshine and the big southwest-facing door rolled up so's to let it in.
Thing is, that also lets the southwest wind in. Also big fuzzy caterpillars that want to nibble on the tractor, or whatever their motive is.
I guess it must be time to order a solar battery charger, a good-sized deep-cycle battery, an inverter with a remote switch, and several LED light fixtures. And figure out how to mount the solar panel in a suitable orientation. (I'd meant to do this during the summer, to run lights for mornings and evenings and a fan for hot days, but never got around to it.)
