Newspeak dictionary: "Mural"

Traditionally, a mural has been a large work of art painted directly on a wall, or perhaps a ceiling.  The word comes from a Latin word meaning wall; see also intramural (within the walls), etc.

In Newspeak, words painted on a road now constitute a mural.  I think crosswalks may also be included when convenient.  Not art, not on a wall, but we'll call it a mural anyway.
