In which the HuffPo gets it dangerously wrong

Predictably enough.

Here:

As a reminder, you don’t need to wear a mask unless you are sick.

Wrong.  Wrongity wrongity wrong.

You don't need to wear a mask to protect others unless you are infected.  A lot of infected people aren't perceptibly sick.

In fact, I believe the word as of a few days ago was that most transmission happened before symptoms showed up.  So by the time an infected person becomes sick, the mask is no longer particularly relevant.

"Masks are useless, and besides they're needed for the professionals."  Wait, isn't that the Party Line about some other products, too?
