Regarding which: Southmoon remains confined to the flatroom so she won't do any leaping, but she does seem to be improving.
This brings us to cats. The newcomers and Huckleberry are getting along fine now. Top Hat, though, gets very defensive if they come anywhere near her.
Looking out the window, I see a bright sunny morning, with little patches of snow remaining on the lawn. Supposed to be a cold, sunny day, with tomorrow being moderately warmer and sunny - and then the rain returns for the coming week. Great.
I'd figured on the new tractor's first exercise being tilling of the initial victory-garden area, but now I'm thinking I might put the box blade on and give the driveway a scrape. Repairing it properly calls for heavy equipment and several tons of additional gravel, but perhaps I can make it less lumpy. Besides which, before tilling the victory garden, I gotta move the boards from the old, neglected raised beds out of the way, and that involves exertion, and...
Oh, yes. Wednesday morning, while unloading some stuff, I missed my footing and took a tumble off the back of the truck. Bounced off the tailgate and landed on hands and knees on the gravel. Ow. Nothing broken, and not much bleeding, but many bruises and some significantly bothered muscles. So I don't think I want to be doing any heavy work for a few days (just when I have a brief window of cooperative weather). And I probably shouldn't be doing any leaping, either.
Ah, well. There's quite a list of stuff that needs doing; perhaps I should be addressing it.
