I suppose I could post some statistics here... weight, net worth, A1c, and so on. But some of those numbers I don't have updated, and none of them I feel like sharing. So, in general terms:
We're not in California anymore! That's the biggie. As a side effect, I'm not carrying any debt (credit cards get paid off on a regular basis). We own the new place free and clear. After a few months, I'll have a handle on the size of the utility bills, but they're looking more or less comparable... for a vastly bigger house.
What with the last several weeks having been all hectic, the holiday schedule is kinda scrambled... hey, we did our Exodus during Chanukah; that's way out of season! I'm thinking we celebrate December festivities one month late, and worry about junior holidays another time.
Anyway, we're all in reasonable health, considering. The lifestyle reboot, once we get properly settled in, should help with some of the health issues (more exercise, probably a healthier diet, less stress, a more stimulating environment, getting away from whatever in California messes up my sinuses so badly). Barring total disasters, finances are out of crunch mode for the next couple of years, so I should have time to ramp up my business(es) - though I won't be splurging on fancy expensive new toys capital equipment. We still need to get a handle on what's involved in turning the barn into a proper workshop and the seasonal swamp into a decent pisciferous* pond.
* That makes two posts in a row with words apparently unknown to the Internet! Pisciferous (not to be confused with piscivorous) obviously means fish-bearing, while a wainmonger (not a winemonger) is clearly someone who sells wainage (i.e., vehicles used for the transportation of agricultural goods).
