Your last line is true, lot's of friendly people in Chick-fil-A. The ketchup thingees are a royal pain in the butt to open but the people have been friendly.

Yeah, going into the Chick-fil-A in Sunnyvale is a bit jarring. While the youngsters working there "look diverse" in the approved way, they all seem like they just got off the boat from Kansas. Polite, friendly, helpful, clean, reverent... clearly not of this world. Must drive the [rude term omitted - oh, no - it's rubbing off on me, and I haven't even eaten there in several months] nuts.
