I wasn't really planning on replacing my phone any time soon, but....
Since it was new, it's had an annoying habit of forgetting, after a few transitions in and out of coverage, How To Data, or even How To Voice: it just doesn't connect to the network until it's been rebooted.
The past couple of months, it's been rebooting itself occasionally at random times, or getting a comprehensive wedgie and refusing to light up without application of a hard reset.
Now, the battery life seems to be deteriorating rapidly. And, it seems to have forgotten How To Wi-Fi. Rebooting doesn't fix it. This seems to have started when I turned Wi-Fi off for a while.
Oh, here's the fix. Turn Wi-Fi off. Turn airplane mode on. Turn Wi-Fi on, and watch the list of access points pop up, just like old times. Then turn airplane mode back off, and all seems to be well.
Still, it does have those other problems. So, maybe I still want to contemplate an unlocked Nexus (so as to skip the bundleware, and get all the security updates), and shop around for service.
But not this month, unless the phone goes completely wonky.
