Despite having various sorts of spam-killing configured, I keep getting really obvious spam (and nothing else) from "goldbar.net", which apparently has been a well-known spam operation for quite some time.
And yet, somehow, it's not on the blacklists. And... feeding it to the Bayesian classifier as spam samples doesn't make it go away. WTF?
So, I've added
blacklist_from *.goldbar.net
to my Spamassassin configuration. Let's see if that gets rid of it.
Or has the proprietor somehow bought his way onto some global super-whitelist?
Update: Din't work. Spam still gets through. Eh???
Update 2: I added
blacklist_from *@goldbar.net
and the next one bounced, hard, with a spam score of 99.something. Since then, I haven't seen goldbar.net in the log file at all! So all it takes is one bounce to get off all the goldbar-hosted scam lists?
