Happens I just read Taras Bulba; in the book, the Zaporozhian Cossacks, being devout Eastern Orthodox Christians, are fierce defenders of the faith and supporters of all Christians everywhere.
Oh, by the way: those nasty Poles are Catholic. Not Christian at all. So going to war against them is totally OK, and indeed a moral obligation*.
A Protestant of my acquaintance, some years back (who changed denominations every couple of years, but was definitely Protestant) was also of the opinion that Catholics were not Christian.
So we know the guy with the funny hat is Catholic... but is he Christian?
Hey, don't look to me for the answer. I can't tell the players without a program**.
* If there aren't any Mussulmans to fight. Apparently scripture mandates fighting Mussulmans. The vintage of said scripture is unclear.
** Or perhaps a pogrom.
