Whoof!
Picked up a fair-sized chunk of (relatively) cheap salmon at Ranch 99 yesterday, and ended up eating the whole thing for dinner (with a moderate pile of mixed veggies).
As I was finishing the fish, I started feeling waaaaaay overheated - this despite the fact that it was evening, and the ambient temperature ought to have been dropping by then.
Well, my ancestors got through the northern winters eating oily fish, so I guess it makes sense that fish oil would stoke the furnace.
But on a warm spring day in California, maybe I don't really want to do that.
(On the other hand: it's something to keep in mind if I ever do manage to relocate to a place that has winter. Keep plenty of oily fish on hand for the chill season.)
