Er. That would be how many ounces of gold? This morning, gold is at $1226.50/oz, so "a few thousand dollars" would seem to imply something more than two Troy ounces.
Are we taking solid 24kt wrist ornament with no electronics?
Because if it's just the case and bracelet that are gold, and it's some practical (not too soft) alloy, I think we're talking about an ounce or less of the pricey stuff.
