While drooling over East Tennessee real estate listings - out there among the hills and stuff - I'd bookmarked one that caught my fancy (house with some character, coupla outbuildings, lots and lots of interesting land, though little of it properly arable), but was a little off the top of my price range, and decidedly too high for my budget given that I'd need to make some improvements of my own.
But, y'know, maybe the price would come down.
Well, the price didn't come down incrementally. It went to auction, with an absurdly low starting bid. Auction was a few days ago.
And now it's back on the market, with an updated description, new photos... and a price that's firmly within my range.
Whether it'll still be on the market when I'm actually looking to buy is entirely another question. And then there are fiddly details, like whether land-line internet is available, and whether the banjos are too loud.
