The interesting aspect here is that such matings seems to have been common and produced viable offspring (so, not properly rishathra).
This blurs yet further the concept of "species." If they can, and routinely do, interbreed...?
And if Those People are properly classified as Homo sapiens, then what's the big deal, anyway?
