This being the lastth of the month, it's time to do Accounts Receivable... which, given the amount of work that came flooding over the transom between Friday afternoon and this morning, is a joyous occasion.
Tomorrow maybe I can relax, a little. Get out a little early for Morning Walkies, turn left after the farm, and take as much time as I need to do at least the 7-mile loop, and perhaps even the 8.mumble.
And if more work shows up while I'm out and about? Well, that's next month's work, and it can wait at least until tomorrow afternoon. If nothing urgent shows up, I can do some maintenance here, before proceeding with some important, but non-urgent, work.
The last few days have been hectic, with small but urgent panics on a couple of old projects, plus integration on two current ones finally being underway, and various Issues cropping up (some my fault, some other people's, and one interesting one apparently caused by The Bureaucracy; I'll have to write that one up sometime, with the serial numbers filed off).
Update: Wouldn't you just know it... half a mile into what was meant to be a 7-mile hike, it became abundantly clear that my variably-sore foot was Not Having A Good Day. So, short and uncomfortable walkies. I did manage to get some assorted lower-priority work stuff done, and even relax a bit, while there weren't any panics demanding my attention. Friday morning, foot still sore; I slept in a bit, and now there's a new little project in my in-box, which I can work on a bit while trying to get the exact requirements nailed down.
