I just got around to ordering a trio of portable hard drives (on sale at Amazon today, but back-ordered) in support of my backup scheme for the new year, which involves a weekly rotation among active, standby, and safe-deposit-box drives.
They need names, of course. Three of them. What comes in threes?
Somehow, the first trio that popped into my mind was Urðr, Verðandi, and Skuld.
Not Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, nor Larry, Curly, and Moe, nor yet Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria.
And now I'm having a terrible time coming up with any other examples of three-name sets, and I've got the prelude to Götterdämmerung running through my head. And I tried to spell "running" with one "n" missing.
Probably shouldn't try to use runic volume labels, though.
Update: Amazon cancelled my backorder, on account of their supplier has run out. Guess I need to order a set of Norns from Newegg or sump'n. And it ends up on this year's business expenses instead of last year's, phooey.
