There's been some comment the past few days regarding Al Gore's assertion that the planet has a "fever." Mainly, people are asking what Earth's normal temperature is, that we might judge the fever relative to a known baseline.
Well.
As is generally known, the normal temperature for everything is 2.73 Kelvin. Anything above that is strictly a local aberration, and might be called feverish.
And who, you might ask, would want to reduce Earth's temperature to 2.73 Kelvin?
An Auditor, that's who!
Clearly, the Old Gore was an Auditor which took on human form. This is consistent with the classic (pre-2000) Gore personality (lack thereof).
The New Gore must be the result of prolonged incorporation plus some mind-warping experience, possibly involving chocolate. However, he retains the Auditor's imperative to eliminate messy anomalies, and to return everything to background temperature.
If he starts calling for construction of a glass clock, look out.
