The Farm is open in the dry season to horseback riders who belong to one of several groups that have keys to gates, and as you say, for special events. I think if you have a well-defined & behaved group (such as a Sierra Club hiking group) there might be an opportunity for you to tour. I've got a map, but it doesn't give any contact info. Adolph Rosekrans seems to be the family member most associated with open tours:
