There was a lot of chatter the last couple of days (including at the post-company BBQ yesterday) about the mutinous transport platoon in Iraq - and the 17, or 19, or more than two dozen, or however many soldiers who had been cast in irons and were awaiting an uncertain fate....
Well, it seemed to me that, the more detail a source had, the less of a story there was, so I figured it was one of those "wait a few days" stories.
Jason Van Steenwyk took a closer look. Sounds like a locally-massive screwup, a collection of misunderstandings, and a small story blown far out of proportion - and it seems to be getting sorted out, without hanging anyone from the nearest yardarm (or whatever it is they use in the Army).
