There's no such word as "hybrid" in Formula One racing, Marigold.
Update:
Actually, it turns out that various sorts of hybrid-drivetrain tech have been used, on and off, in Formula One, beginning in 2009... which, however, is considerably after Tom Slick's time.
Also, I've never seen the term "super sweet F1 hybrid" applied to marigolds. Corn, yes. Tomatoes, yes. Marigolds, no.
