All seemed normal until about 0505, when I decided it was about time for my morning shower, but first I should wash some dishes.
Dish-washing water was lukewarm at best, and heading for cold. Hmmm? The stove has gas, so it's not a PG&E problem.
Out to the garage. Water heater looks OK, but no blinky on the controller, which would explain the lack of hot water. But why did it go out?
Try to follow the instructions for re-lighting the pilot burner. Nope.
Pull the access panel so I can see the sight glass, and try again. There's a bit of a flash... and now the indicator light is blinking.
Turn the control knob up to Fairly Hot, and there's a whoosh of the main burner lighting up.
So I guess I'll have hot water for my shower, eventually. Might as well feed the critters and myself now, and shower after breakfast.
