Ayup, Moore shoes dropping with regard to the purportedly non-Strange Senate candidate in Alabama.
The latest, despite coming by way of Gloria Allred, sounds like it might be legitimate... and, if so, that guy really ought to have been locked up long ago. In that special facility reserved for child molesters, people who talk at the theater, and, it seems, just about anyone connected with Hollywood the past few decades.
Seriously, who'd he think he was, a film producer?
And I'm really wondering just how much of the political class will end up implicated in this sort of thing, now that the accusations are flying. It's not so much that power corrupts as that really horrible people are attracted to power and use it for their own ends without compunction.
What need we fear who knows it, when none can call our pow'r to accompt?
Update: Banned from a shopping mall, back in the 80s, for trying to pick up underage girls? Oy. And somehow this didn't come to the attention of the public at large until after he'd won the primary. For someone with an awesome supervillain name, Luther Strange doesn't seem to have been any good at opposition research.
Or, hm. Maybe everyone in Alabama politics knew all about Moore all along, but they also all had juicy blackmail information on each other, making for a Mexican standoff? Now that the shooting has started, how many will fall? Will it happen in DC, too? Any chance of it happening in Sacramento?
Update to update: Patterico points out that the New Yorker piece with the "banned from the mall" scoop is badly done and not credible - that, in fact, the mall thing is almost certainly false. Which doesn't in any way imply that Moore isn't a world-class creep.
Update3: The banned-from-the-mall story may be false, but it seems local sources confirm the creepy behavior at the mall.
