At Whole Foods today, in search of one thing and another, I encountered something that sounded, and looked, promising: a 2-pack of thin & crispy whole-wheat pizza crusts.
Since I hadn't gotten around to starting a batch of pizza dough this morning, well, why not?
Pizza stone in place, oven hot, sauce made: time to open the bag.
A problem promptly becomes apparent: the very thin crusts are awfully delicate, and are not easily removed from the bag without tearing.
Then there's the more fundamental problem: what appear to be dimples in the crusts are in fact mostly holes. Like, all the way through.
So, when I apply sauce, what's going to happen, eh?
Oh, well. Guess I'll use a tortilla for a crust this time, and maybe make some dough tomorrow morning or something.
