As the news coverage of the Newtown atrocity broke out, I got the distinct impression that the stories* had been written ahead of time: Tomorrow Never Dies.

Now I hear that the killer couldn't feel pain: The World is Not Enough.

So... anything else?

Is there a Lily Weatherwax lurking behind the scenes, feeding people to stories**?

* The demands for government action had clearly been written ahead of time, and the protest signs already printed, but that goes without saying.

** And, if so, has the White House been equipped with a pond?
