What with the hot-and-cold running fever (starting 4 days after the standard cold symptoms) and the weird fizzy sensation in my chest, I was starting to think I should go see a doctor or something.
Well, the fever went away last night. The fizziness is still there, but diminishing along with the congestion. Not coughing too much, so my voice ought to come back in another couple of days.
I got a semi-decent amount of sleep last night, and might manage to be coherent and somewhat productive today. Now I just need to recalibrate my circadian rhythm so I wake up around 0430, not several times starting at 0200....
And I'm a week behind on work now. Got one definite must-do item: that 3-hour in-person troubleshooting session that got stretched into a week of e-mail tag without yet solving the problem. Monday morning, get with the techs and sort it out. There's also some writing to be done, but I'm not clear on how much of it is my job, nor how much happens now as opposed to after the contract gets signed.
For the weekend... probably no hiking; exercise too soon after viral crud has been known to cause relapses (for me, at least). There's a bunch of cut-down vegetation to be stuffed into the yard-waste bin while it's not raining, and maybe I'll have another go at implementing a USB CDC-ACM device on that LPC2148 (I thought of a handy cheat: dump the descriptors from my cellphone to use as an example). Also, there'll soon be a need for a least a rudimentary version of my long-awaited secure firmware update protocol, and that's something to be done on my own time, so perhaps I'll work on that.
