Hmph. Scanning the headlines in an idle moment, I happened across this: Fresh doubts raised over homeopathy.
Apparently there's been some new scientific study that "throws more doubt on the effectiveness" of homeopathic medicine.
If homeopathic remedies become more powerful through dilution - an 8X remedy being better than 5X, for example - the surely it's even more effective not to take the stuff at all. Looking at the unopened bottle instead of drinking the contents has got to be good for a few extra X'es, and not buying it in the first place... well, imagine how powerful that must be!
Somewhere on my list of silly ideas is "homeopathic plutonium." Gotta be as marketable as "red mercury," right?
